SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Beerus Figure Revealed!

If there’s one character that epitomizes the new era of Dragon Ball Z anime more than other, it is definitely the God of Destruction, Beerus! Lord Beerus handily defeated Goku in the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods movie, and appears in both DBZ Resurrection  F and the upcoming Dragon Ball Super anime. And now, he’s set to make his most appearance of all: Bandai Japan has revealed a super-articulated Dragon Ball Z SH Figuarts Beerus figure!

When the character design for Lord Beerus, God of Destruction, was first revealed, I thought the character looked ridiculous and was going to bomb with fandom. But then a funny thing happened: I actually saw Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods and discovered that Beerus is actually an incredibly fun and captivating character!

Ever since I saw that movie last summer, I’ve been pining away for a really good Beerus figure. And luckily, it looks like my appetite will soon be satiated: Bandai Tamashii Nations has been showing off a Lord Beerus S.H. Figuarts figure at recent events!

Lord Beerus Figuarts Dragonball Z Figure Bandai 2015The Bandai Beerus action figure prototype being shown off looks fantastic, with all the characteristic points of articulation that we’ve come to expect from the SH Figuarts line. And hey–who doesn’t love a purple anthropomorphic cat person action figure, right?!

Dragon Ball Z S.H. Figuarts Beerus FigureAt this time, Bandai Japan has not announced any release date or pre-order date whatsoever for the S.H. Figuarts Beerus figure. That said, they have completed a fully-working prototype of the figure, so it’s only a matter of time until the Figuarts Birus figure goes up for pre-order. Could the pre-order open up this summer? Let’s hope so!

Once the Beerus Figuarts figure is announced, he’ll be available in online thanks to Tamashii Nations as well.
