New York Toy Fair 2015: SH Figuarts Sailor Moon Photos!

Last weekend I attended the New York Toy Fair 2015, my second-ever trip to the show. I wasn’t expecting Bandai Tamashii Nations to bring much new stuff that hadn’t been seen before to the event, but I was excited to see what Bandai had brought along nonetheless. And while none of the Bandai SH Figuarts Sailor Moon figures hadn’t been seen before, this was the first time several of them had been shown publicly in the United States…

While the Bandai Sailor Moon SH Figuarts display case at the New York Toy Fair 2015 contained eleven figures in it, only three of the figures on display were ones that previously hadn’t been shown off in North America (most recently at New York Comic Con 2014 in October): SH Figuarts Tuxedo Mask, Chibi Moon and Super Sailor Moon.

Of these three new-ish figures, the one I was most psyched to see in person was the S.H. Figuarts Super Sailor Moon figure, as that figure only debuted in Japan a few weeks back.

Sailor Moon Figuarts Zero Figures at New York Toy Fair 2015The large Sailor Moon Figuarts Zero figures of the five main Sailor Senshi were also on display in their own showcase, but the smaller 5″ scale Figuarts Zero Sailor Moon Crystal figures were nowhere to be found. Alas.

Although an SH Figuarts Sailor Pluto figure prototype has been shown overseas, Bandai Tamashii Nations did not bring the Sailor Pluto Figuarts figure to the 2015 Toy Fair. Even so, I still expect the S.H. Figuarts Sailor Pluto to be released in fall 2015, with pre-orders opening this spring.

What do you think of the SH Figuarts and Figuarts Zero Sailor Moon display at the 2015 New York Toy Fair, anime fans? Are you satisfied with what Bandai brought to show off domestically, or are you disappointed by the lack of never-before-seen Sailor Moon toys at the event?
